Corporate Uptime Guarantee

This uptime guarantee applies to all accounts in good financial standing. Please refer to our terms and conditions for a full list of excluded accounts.

What is covered ?

When comparing our Uptime Guarantee with other hosters, remember ours includes ALL downtime. Other hosting companies may appear to give you a higher one, but may include a maintenance period and also may not include downtimes of less than 10 minutes for server reboots.

99.5% Uptime. Our Corporate uptime guarantee is one of the most extensive in the industry. Your guarantee includes email, web and SQL database facilities. Should any of these fall below 99.5% availability, you may apply for a credit. ("Site Availability")

What is not covered ?

• Obviously there are times when you may not be able to reach your site, but this will not be due to our network or servers. You may have local ISP or other Internet problems. These are not included in our uptime guarantee because we have no control over these events. Monitoring will be performed from within our network and also from outside our network at 2 different geographic locations around the world in order to provide the uptime figures upon which we base our decisions.



• Also credits cannot be claimed for sites which are unavailable due to bad or inefficient code by yourself or other customers on shared servers.



• If your site is on a server that fails and we move your website to an alternative server, we will change the dns for all sites that we host. However if you have chosen that Database Power is not to provide the DNS hosting, then you will be informed of any new ip address. You cannot make a claim for site downtime whilst your ISP is updating their DNS.

Conditions

Unlike many other hosting providers who exclude scheduled maintanance periods and reboots which take less than 10 minutes, we include all of those in our downtime; all the downtime has to come out of the 1% or 0.5%.

Credits

Should your Site Availability fall below the following figures, the following credits will apply to your account.

The maximum credit avaialble in any one month is equal to your monthly hosting fee. Only one application may be made per month.

How to Claim

All claims for credit must be sent to uptime@databasepower.net. Please detail the times you believe your website was unavailable and send them at the end of the calendar month. We will check these times with our stats and logs files in order to confirm your downtime. All applications for credit must be received within 14 days of the end of the month.
